July 7–18 | Grades 9–12 | Goldeye Centre, Nordegg, Alberta
At Cadotte Lake School, education doesn’t stop when summer begins—it levels up. This July, we’re proud to launch an experience like no other: Adventure Summer School, an immersive, credit-earning journey designed for high school students in Grades 9–12.
What Is Adventure Summer School?
From July 7–18, students will travel to the Goldeye Centre near Nordegg, where they’ll camp in the heart of Alberta’s breathtaking Rocky Mountains. In partnership with the Canadian Rockies Adventure Company, this 10-day overnight program gives students the opportunity to earn up to 9 Alberta Education credits—including First Aid/CPR and Work Experience—by combining academics with unforgettable real-life learning.
Outdoor Education with Purpose
Adventure Summer School isn’t just a field trip—it’s a transformational journey. With activities like canoeing, rafting, hiking, climbing, and team-building exercises, students engage physically, mentally, and emotionally. These experiences are carefully aligned with Alberta’s Career and Technology Studies (CTS) curriculum, emphasizing leadership, communication, and personal growth.
Real Credits, Real Impact
To receive the full 9 credits, students must be registered with Cadotte Lake School and complete all coursework and daily responsibilities. This ensures that learning remains structured and intentional while encouraging students to embrace a hands-on, outdoor classroom where every step teaches something new.
Building Life Skills Through Adventure
Students will gain more than credits—they’ll gain confidence, resilience, and a sense of direction. This program is designed to push students outside of their comfort zones in a supportive, safe environment. They’ll leave with certifications, experiences, and stories that will serve them far beyond high school.
Join Us: Parent Info Night
We’re hosting a Parent Information Night on June 17, 2025 at 5:00 PM, which will also feature a Summer Shop and Swap Event to help students prepare. This is your opportunity to ask questions, meet the team, and get equipped for this one-of-a-kind adventure.
Get Ready to Go
Students should be ready to participate in daily physical activity and follow a set schedule to meet program requirements. Most importantly, they should come with an open heart and a willingness to learn by doing.
A Summer That Matters
Whether it’s rafting down the North Saskatchewan or sharing stories around the campfire, Adventure Summer School will create memories, friendships, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
